ADXC 10: Everything you need to know about the competition in Moscow
Marking the organization’s first venture in Russia, the tenth edition of the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship prepares to put on another memorable show for fight fans worldwide. Headed to the Voleybol’Naya Arena Dinamo next Saturday, May 31st, the competition brings some of the toughest athletes from Jiu-Jitsu and MMA to show their skills and fight for victory inside a cage, adding a ruleset that favors aggressive play to ensure the action remains high at all times.
[s title=”Learn More……”][p]With all duels broadcast live and exclusively on the TX7.com platform, the ADXC 10 will feature 16 matches in its line-up, with Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling bouts divided between the Main Card, Preliminary Card, and Showcase. With the competition just around the corner, let’s look at what fight fans will see come Saturday.
MAIN CARD
Closing the Main Card, Arman Tsarukyan goes up against Patricky “Pitbull” Freire in a Grappling bout in the catchweight division. a Russian MMA athlete and former UFC fighter with 22 wins in his professional career, Arman Tsarukyan takes on an entirely new challenge in a familiar setting as he steps up the ADXC cage, but he’ll have to contend with the dangerous Patricky Pitbull, a Brazilian veteran from the mixed martial arts and former Bellator champion who honed his techniques and arsenal of submission in the main stages of the sport around the world.
Another Grappling bout coming to the Main Card is the duel between Viktor Nemkov and Ronny Markes in the heavyweight division. A former PFL and Bellator competitor hailing from Russia, Viktor Nemkov is an MMA veteran with 15 of experience who’ll be bringing his arsenal of chokes and armbars to seek his first victory in the ADXC, but the Brazilian Ronny Markes is more than ready to spoil his opponent’s plans, tapping into his almost 20 years of experience competing in organizations like the UFC, Bellator, and PFL to show the power of his ground game and take the victory in Moscow.
Meanwhile, Rogerio Bontorin and Askar Askarov put their skills to the test with a Grappling bout in the featherweight division. A Brazilian MMA athlete with 11 out of his 17 professional wins coming via submission, Rogerio made a name for himself in the organization by taking the trophy in the ADXC 6 and is now back for more, this time facing the Russian Askar Askarov, a mixed martial artist with 15 wins to his name and over a decade of experience competing in cages who’ll be ready to use all the tools at his disposal to debut with a victory in the ADXC.
In the catchweight division, the Russian duo Islam Mamedov and Ivan Lisogorov debut in the event with a Grappling bout. On one side, the experienced Islam Mamedov brings his mileage competing in events like Bellator and PFL to conquer a big victory in his homeland. On the other, the talented up-and-comer from the Russian MMA scene Ivan Lisogorov brings the aggressiveness that landed him three back-to-back KO wins in less than six months to show his ground game in one of the most challenging arenas in Grappling.
Bringing another Brazil x Russia clash to the Main Card, Felipe Machado goes toe-to-toe against Mukhammad Shakhbanov in a Grappling bout. A Jiu-Jitsu black belt representing Piramide Grappling Association, Felipe Machado brings his game of fast attacks and pressure passing to look for a chance to take the win and submit his opponent Mukhammad Shakhbanov, a Russian MMA athlete armed with heaps of techniques and grit who comes for his second showing in the organization after putting on a memorable battle against Ruan Alvarenga in the ADXC 7.
Still in the main card, Wesley Felix and Vladimir Blium don their gis and join the heavyweight division with a Jiu-Jitsu bout. A Vision BJJ black belt fighting out of Brazil, Wesley “Salgas” Felix brings the game that landed him the silver medal in the ADGS London last April to make his debut against Vladimir Blium, a Russian AJP veteran and Gojira Jiu-Jitsu black belt with a great bottom game who made a name for himself in the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship after facing Felipe Bezerra in the ADXC 5.
PRELIMINARY CARD AND SHOWCASE
Coming in the first half of the event, the Preliminary Card will feature six high-octane battles that will set the tone for the competition and give fight fans a taste of what the rest of the night has in store for them. In the middleweight division, Alibek Suleimanov faces Nodirbek Egamberdiyev in a Grappling bout, while Nikolay Vetrov and Islam Mamilov make their way to the welterweight division with another Grappling bout. Still in the card, heavyweights Tamerlan Eslemesov and Shamil Magomedov collide in a Grappling bout, Marat Kurbanov clashes against Nurgali Nurgaipuly in a light heavyweight Grappling bout, the lightweight division features Nikita Devyatov and Abdurahmoni Bahromjon in a Jiu-Jitsu bout, and Iaroslav Rymashevskii tests his skills against Gianfranco Mastrolorenzo in a lightweight Jiu-Jitsu bout.
Bringing even more action to the cage, the ADXC 10 will feature four Showcase matches between talented Youth athletes, giving each the chance to shine on an internationally recognized stage while also providing fight fans with a glimpse into the future of the sport. Closing the group, Daniel “220v” Poncio goes up against Mukhammad Akaev in a Grappling bout, while Harib Al Hammadi and Rasambek Gezalov clash in a Jiu-Jitsu bout. Before that, Salem Al Qubaisi faces Artur Bairov in a Jiu-Jitsu bout, and Abdulaziz Al Akidi enters a collision course with Sultan Ruslanbekov in another Jiu-Jitsu bout.

[s title=”Learn More……”][p]Celebrating its tenth event this Saturday, May 31st, the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship continued to explore new frontiers as it held its first-ever competition on Russian soil, bringing some of the toughest athletes of the international scene to enter Grappling’s most fearsome cage and show their skills at the Voleybol’Naya Arena Dinamo in Moscow.
Closing the event on a very high note, the Russian Arman Tsarukyan put on a dominating display and landed his first ADXC win. Entering the cage to face the Brazilian Patricky Pitbull, who had some good moments and even tried a dangerous back take in the fourth round, Arman was in control from beginning to end as he kept his opponent under attack at all times until he found his golden opportunity in the fifth and final round of the duel, taking the back and locking a merciless rear-naked choke to conquer the trophy.
“I want to thank ADXC for calling me to fight in my homeland after all these years”, celebrated Tsarukyan after his victory. “Patricky is a very tough opponent and fought very well. I had promised his trainer that I would finish Patricky with his favorite submission and he told me that it was the rear-naked choke, so I went in there and made it happen.”

MAIN CARD
Ronny Markes vs Viktor Nemkov (Grappling Bout)
With a very sharp takedown game, Ronny Markes got the better of Viktor Nemkov in the ADXC cage. With most of the duel fought while both athletes stood up, Ronny took the advantage by taking his opponent to the ground in three different rounds, in addition to a dangerous katagatame attempt. At the end of it all, the judges voted unanimously in favor of the Brazilian athlete.
Askar Askarov vs Rogério Bontorim (Grappling Bout)
A very balanced duel between Askar Askarov and Rogério Bontorin, with the result coming after five intense rounds with both sides fighting while standing up. Fighting aggressively throughout the bout, Askar managed to tip the scales in his favor with two good takedown attempts and convinced all the judges, who gave him the win via decision.
Islam Mamedov vs Ivan Lisogorov (Grappling Bout)
Showcasing his technique and experience, Islam Mamedov emerged victorious after a five-round war against Ivan Lisogorov. With the duel remaining very balanced until the end, Islam managed to outshine his talented opponent as he dished out attacks on the neck while avoiding Lisogorov’s takedown attempts, getting the win and the trophy via split decision.
Mukhammad Shakhbanov vs Felipe Machado (Grappling Bout)
After a rough start in his match against Felipe Machado, Mukhammad managed to turn the tables and got the victory in Moscow. The first round was all Felipe, with the Brazilian unleashing a barrage of attacks and keeping his opponent under pressure, but Mukhammad quickly found his footing and proceeded to pummel Felipe’s guard in the following rounds, putting up an incredible fight and taking the win via split decision.
Wesley Felix vs Vladimir Blium (Jiu-Jitsu Bout)
In a duel marked by intense foot attacks, Wesley “Salgas” Felix defeated Vladimir Blium in his first ADXC match. While both sides attempted to end the bout with toeholds and foot locks on all three rounds, Wesley showed more aggression in his attacks and ended up convincing the judges, who voted unanimously for the Brazilian.
PRELIMINARY CARD
Alibek Suleimanov vs Nodirbek Egamberdiev (Grappling Bout)
With a very well-rounded game, Alibek Suleimanov debuted with a victory in the ADXC. For his part, Nodirbek Egamberdiev had some great moments throughout the bout as he brought the fight down and controlled the action, but Alibek’s foot attacks coupled with some dangerous armbar and omoplata submission attempts gave him the win via unanimous decision.
Nikolay Vetrov vs Islam Mamilov (Grappling Bout)
Earning his spot in the event after an impressive performance in the ADGP Moscow, Nikolay Vetrov returned to the Russian capital to conquer his first ADXC win. After a slow start in the first round against Islam Mamilov, Nikolay picked up the pace and went on the attack, first trying to submit on the foot and then spinning to the back without the hooks to lock the winning rear-naked choke in the second round.
Shamil Magomedov vs Tamerlan Eslemesov (Grappling Bout)
After two rounds of intense pressure from the top, Shamil Magomedov went back for more and found his opportunity in the third and final round against Tamerlan Eslemesov. With the fight on the ground, Shamil managed to reach the side, swung his leg over his opponent, and smoothly transitioned into a tight armbar to take the win.
Marat Kurbanov vs Nurgali Nurgaipuly (Grappling Bout)
Mixing brains and brawn, Marat Kurbanov showed his strategic side to emerge victorious from the ADXC cage. The opponent Nurgali Nurgaipuly used his half-guard game to dish out some pressure in all three rounds, but Kurbanov tipped the scales with a good submission attempt in the first round in addition to using his own half-guard to control the action, taking the win via unanimous decision.
Abdurahmoni Bahromjon vs Nikita Devyatov (Jiu-Jitsu Bout)
Fighting out of Tajikistan, Abdurahmoni Bahromjon had the best moments and took the win via unanimous decision. Facing Nikita Devyatov in a duel filled with toehold attempts, Abdurahmoni had a better performance throughout the rounds, putting pressure from the top, trying to take the back, and attacking non-stop until the clock ran out, convincing all the judges to earn his first ADXC trophy.
Iaroslav Rymashevskii vs Gianfranco Mastrolorenzo (Jiu-Jitsu Bout)
Adding another submission to his resumé, Iaroslav Rymashevskii conquered the second ADXC win of his career after overcoming Gianfranco Mastrolorenzo in Russia. After spending the first round trying to submit on the foot, Iaroslav changed up the strategy and returned for the second round quickly pulling guard and spinning to the back, positioning an inverted triangle before letting go and shifting to an armbar to get the three taps.
SHOWCASE
Daniel “220v” Poncio vs Mukhammad Akaev (Youth Grappling Bout)
Returning for his third ADXC duel, the Brazilian powerhouse Daniel “220v” Poncio got the hat-trick with another submission win for his resumé. After an action-packed first round, with the opponent Mukhammad Akaev deftly avoiding a dangerous takedown, Daniel returned to the second round with the energy that earned him his nickname, this time landing the takedown and locking a kimura to take the win.
Rasambek Gezalov vs Harib Al Hammadi (Youth Jiu-Jitsu Bout)
Applying constant pressure from the top, Rasambek Gezalov controlled the match and defeated Harib Al Hammadi in his ADXC debut. A guard player, Harib worked from the bottom to try and sweep, but the relentless Rasambek avoided the reversal attempts and used his toreando pass to take all three rounds and the win via unanimous decision.
Salem Alqubaisi vs Artur Bairov (Youth Jiu-Jitsu Bout)
Two fights and two wins for the Emirati Salem Alqubaisi in the ADXC. Coming from a submission win in ADXC 8, Salem joined the ADXC 10 to face Artur Bairov and needed only two rounds to end the bout, attacking with a triangle and a footlock in the first one. Having defended the previous submission attempts, Artur returned more confident for the second round and tried to slip to the back, but Salem defended and countered with a back take of his own, placing the hooks before locking a winning bow-and-arrow choke.
Sultan Ruslanbekov vs Abdulaziz Al Akidi (Youth Jiu-Jitsu Bout)
Kicking off the ADXC 10, Sultan Ruslanbekov got the better of Abdulaziz Al Akidi in a well-balanced duel. Al Akidi worked well from the bottom and even managed to sweep, but Sultan swept back and kept the pressure high on all three rounds while looking for chances to submit. At the end of it all, Sultan took the win via split decision.
